Stefan Sagmeister in his experimental year in Bali talks about his design for the 2008 album by David Byrne and Brian Eno, “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today.”

Very much looking forward to David Byrne’s concert in February in Radio City Music Hall.

Also, if you haven’t had a chance to read the latest issue of Print Magazine, Steven Heller interviews Stefan and they talk about his sabbatical year in Bali, Indonesia. Impressive how Stefan refused to make a poster for Barack Obama because he had promised he would not take any more work right before his experimental year!

Can’t wait to see what Stefan brings back!

So much adrenaline going on in the making of this public intervention! Just as a reminder, the motivation behind doing this was because I have a very dear friend that used to have nightmares when he was a child because of the Church. On a similar note check out this recent New York Times article:

I should’ve really prepared my interview but, oh well, here you go. Thanks for editing the awkward parts! Reminder: Model Citizen is a line of umbrellas defending freedom of expression and basic human rights. I strongly feel that the advancement of world culture and society depends on our ability to protect an open market of ideas. I used this opportunity to openly express my opinions and demand equal marriage, net neutrality, an end to stoning, freedom for Tibet and world peace. Opening screen design by the wonderful Nick Ace (www.nickace.com). More student interviews here.

Three ads created for a final year project at Istituto Europeo di Design, Barcelona. Edited and Animated by Olivia Aracil. Filmed by Assaf Dagan, Nika Hellstrom and Olivia Aracil. Written and Directed by me. Even though this is an old project (2005, I think) it still brings great memories because I really enjoyed doing it.

The amazing 1984 documentary about Harvey Milk. Also check out the movie MILK that should still be out in theaters, with Sean Penn as Harvey Milk. Happy New Year boys and girls!
